I had occasion to peruse the inventory at a couple of local car dealers and I was amazed at how much peoples priorities have changed when it comes to whats important in purchasing a vehicle. To clarify, I had a training for my job and stayed in the town because I didn't have the money to get the gas I would've used to go home. Now that I've confused everyone,I'll continue. The folks I witnessed shopping for a car today were not concerned with how luxurious a car was,or how well it would hold the family. Oh no! They were looking at... Gas mileage! Thats right, gas mileage! Every car they looked at they went right for the sticker to see how well the car did in the city or on the highway! It didn't matter what the color was or what options it had, it didnt matter if it would fit the whole family. Only the gas mileage mattered! It didn't even matter that the prices on the smaller cars were rivaling the bigger, less gas friendly cars either! They just were concerned how many times a month they had to gas up! I remember in the 60s and 70s when folks were more concerned how nice a car looked or handeled. This is the crap were reduced to! That is those of us who can afford to buy a new car! which amounts for about 10% of the working class! Well I hope you greedy slobs are satisfied! Thanks A Lot!! Well thats all for now. Later!!
